Dog Names

Dog names are sometimes very difficult to come up with. Choosing the perfect name for your puppy is an opportunity to demonstrate to the world just how creative and insightful you are.

Your dog's name say a lot about your loved one and believe it or not a lot about you.

Think about the last few canine names you heard. Did they stand out, were they a good description, were they unique and easily distinguishable from other words and did they have meaning? These are all important considerations to think about when choosing perfect name for your beloved dog.

You will use your pet's name well over 30,000 times during their life, so choose wisely and always be sure to check the meaning. Also, make sure the name you pick doesn't rhyme with anything negative. There's nothing worse than trying to change your dog's name after they have already learned it!

Use the following tips when naming your new friend.

Tip Number 1:

Look for the shorter names , if you want your puppy to tune in to it's name quickly. Dogs can only deal with short, unalike words.....Call them a Winner and they will think it's dinner.

Tip Number 2:

Pick several names that you like. Then, speaking slowly, and lovingly call your puppy. Some names will be ignored. But at the sound of others, the ears will perk up attentively. Or, the head will cock to one side almost in recognition of the new word.

Choose one of those. And use that for the rest of their lives.

Tip Number 3:
